Yes. We’ll have videographers and photographers onsite to record the action at TCC12. BY ENTERING AND BEING AT THIS EVENT, YOU CONSENT TO BE FILMED AND PHOTOGRAPHED. From time to time, Tableau uses recorded video and photographs of conference events and attendees in its promotional materials. Unless permission to record and use such images is revoked in writing to Tableau, by virtue of their attendance, all conference visitors agree to the use of their likeness in such materials. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT ALL VIDEOGRAPHY AND PHOTOGRAPHY WILL BE DONE IN RELIANCE ON THE CONSENT YOU GIVE BY ENTERING THIS EVENT.

Monday, November 5th - Thursday November 8th
- Customer Conference opens Monday evening November 5th and runs through Thursday afternoon November 8th.
- Pre-conference workshops are offered all day Monday, November 5th from 9:00am - 5:00pm.
- Tableau Desktop 8 Core Certification and Renewal runs post-conference on November 8th from 3:00PM to 5:00PM.
- Tableau Partner Workshop starts on Thursday, November 8th at 3:00PM and continues through Friday at 3:00PM.

Effective October 8th, Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard & American Express) is the only method of payment acceptable. All conference payments must be paid prior to the conference.

Conference fees for the 2012 Tableau Customer Conference will show up on your credit card statement as TABLEAU.

You are welcome to register for the conference by mailing a check. We will hold your reservation for 30 days. All conference payments must be paid prior to the conference. Reservations are not guaranteed until payments are received.

I started my registration but didn’t finish. How can I complete my registration?
Go back to the registration page and enter your information. The registration portal will ask you if you would like to continue your existing registration or start a new registration.

On the payment portion of the registration form, enter your discount code into the designated field on the page and click the apply button. The discounted total should be displayed before you continue with the payment process.
Discounts applied after registration is completed need to be sent to the Registrar.

Absolutely – the more the merrier! You can purchase a Guest Party Pass for $250.00 which covers admittance to both the Welcome Reception & Customer Party which both include food and beverages. Please note: a Guest Party Pass will not allow access to any conference sessions, keynote addresses or any conference sponsored breaks or lunches during the day.

Overflow accommodations are available at the Hard Rock Hotel, next to PETCO Park and just a quick walk to the Hilton. Discounted rooms are available for $209/night (plus tax) and include free in room wifi and access to the fitness center. Rooms must be booked through the registration system before October 1, 2012.

How do I cancel my hotel room?
Cancellations of hotel rooms will only be accepted by email to the Registrar. Any other form of cancellation will not be applicable. The cancellation date for rooms is October 5, 2012. You will be asked to provide a credit card to secure your hotel room. In the event of a no-show, you will be charged one night stay for the first night.

Tableau Software requires a credit card number at the time of making a reservation to secure your hotel room. Please note that your credit card will be charged (1) night plus applicable taxes advance deposit. In the event of a no-show the credit card provided will be charged one (1) night room rate plus applicable taxes.

The Hilton San Diego Bayfront is located in downtown along San Diego Bay and minutes from the San Diego International Airport. Taxi or shuttle bus is the best way to get from the airport to the hotel.
A taxi from the airport to the Hilton San Diego Bayfront cost approximately $18.00 - $20.00
Shuttle rides from the airport to the Hilton San Diego Bayfront cost approximately $8.00

What is the conference cancellation policy?
Conference Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received prior to September 5, 2012 will be refunded less a 10% administrative fee. Cancellations received between September 5, 2012 and October 5, 2012 will be refunded 50% of the pre-paid conference fee. Cancellations received after October 6, 2012 will not be eligible for any refunds. If for any reason the conference should be cancelled, Tableau Software will refund the full registration fee within 90 days of canceling the conference. Tableau Software is not responsible for airfare, hotel, or other costs. Conference cancellations should be emailed to the conference Registrar. Note: If you are impacted by Hurricane Sandy, email email@example.com.

If you are unable to attend the Tableau Customer Conference, you may transfer your registration to another person. Please e-mail your transfer requests to the conference Registrar.
How can I get credit for referring a friend or colleague? Answer
How can I get credit for referring a friend or colleague?
The more people you get to register by October 19th the more chances to win. You will be automatically entered to win one of the Malcolm Gladwell prizes below. There are 2 ways to get credit for referrals:
- During your online registration process you can list names and email addresses of people who might benefit from TCC12 and we’ll email them on your behalf. When they click through the email to register for the conference, we’ll automatically enter you in the contest.
- Your friends or colleagues can also mention your name in the “referred by” field during their online registration process. This also enters you in the contest.

- GRAND PRIZE: 25 attendees who have the most referrals register for the Conference will win a special VIP breakfast with Malcolm Gladwell the morning of his conference keynote (Wednesday, 11/7).
- 10 registered conference attendees who submit a referral(s) will be selected from a random drawing to win front row seats for the Malcolm Gladwell keynote.
- 10 registered conference attendees who submit a referral(s)will be selected from a random drawing to jump the book signing line for priority access and a free copy of Outliers, signed by Malcolm Gladwell.

When will the winners be announced and what else should I know about the contest?
The contest runs through October 19th. Winners will be announced by email on October 25th. Winners must be registered TCC12 attendees and cannot win more than 1 of the 3 prizes. If there is a tie for the Grand Prize, a winner will be randomly selected from the finalists. Tableau, in its sole and reasonable discretion, reserves the right to cancel, modify or suspend the contest, or modify the rules at any time for clarification purposes. I have already registered, how do I give someone credit for referring me?
You are able to modify your registration to add the name of the individual that referred you by completing the following steps:
- Visit the conference registration page
- Click the Register Now button
- Click the Already Registered link
- Enter your credentials, including your confirmation number and click OK
- Click the Modify tab at the top of the page
- Click the Registration link to make changes to your registration
- Enter the name of individual that referred were you see the question "Were you referred by someone?"
- Proceed with your selection and complete your changes by clicking the Finish button on the final page of registration.
