Angelique is the Crime Analysis Program Manager with the Fairfax County Police Department in Northern Virginia. She has worked with the Fairfax County Police Department's Crime Analysis Unit for ten years. Having worked at all ranks within the Unit on a multitude of projects and assignments, Angelique has had a direct hand in creating change within this police agency. She holds an M.P.A from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, a B.A. in Public Policy from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy at the University at Albany, State University of New York, as well as degrees in Business Administration and Humanities from Onondaga Community College. Of all her opportunities and accomplishments Angelique is most thankful for her amazing son, Angel.

Bill Attridge began life in Boston, spent 25 years working as an engineer and manager, both in the US and Japan, before starting HTM Japan in 1987. With over 25 years’ experience helping companies operate their businesses in Japan, HTM is a leading provider of bilingual outsourced accounting, payroll, and HR services to international companies operating in Japan. Using modern tools and a disciplined systems approach, Bill and his team at HTM provide clients with transparent business information seldom seen from Asia. Bill and his wife spend most of their time in Tokyo with occasional breaks at their Seattle waterfront condo. Greg is a manager of Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse platform architecture at Cisco. He has been in the IT industry for more than 25 years and in the BI/DW space for the last 14 years. In his current role at Cisco he is focused on establishing and maturing critical BI capabilities for the business. He's passionate about analytics and enabling the business to excel. During his career Greg has worked for Price Waterhouse as a consultant to government organizations, and as a BI/DW manager for Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina. He earned his B.S. in Mathematics from Washington & Lee University.

Prior to Carnegie Mellon, Ted held finance positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific and Merck. He oversaw all financial systems for the operations and maintenance business for Archstone-Smith Trust. Ted currently consults for several non-profit companies and has consulted for Fortune 500 companies in financial systems and reporting at Andersen Business Consulting. Shailesh Ghimire is the Director of Digital Strategy at E.B. Lane, a full service marketing and advertising agency in Phoenix. His most recent work at E.B. Lane has involved overseeing the implementation of a real-time web based marketing dashboard for the Arizona lottery He is also a member of E.B Lane’s Incite Team which is tasked with analyzing big data on behalf of clients and gleaning insights to guide marketing strategy and programs. Shailesh authors a business blog at SocialReflections.com where he shares his thoughts on everything related to Internet (Digital) marketing. Reporting to the Mayor since August 2007 as City Innovation & Performance Manager, Chuck is responsible for implementing a transparent Pittsburgh Management Accountability Performance System (PittMAPS) to improve day-to-day operational performance management of departments supporting the stakeholders of Pittsburgh. Previously, Chuck was a business process transformation consultant on projects with firms such as Caterpillar, British Aerospace and General Electric among others. He also has been a technology manager, administrator, and teacher of woodworking and mathematics at high schools. Chuck has a Masters in Administration and Supervision from Antioch College and Bachelors in Social Psychology from Lehigh University with a minor in Metallurgical Engineering.

Torry loves business and he love analysis, so he became a business analyst at a company that values analytics. He does product management for all of Zillow's Business Intelligence projects and platforms and is also responsible for all analytics relating to mortgage products. His career at Zillow began after receiving his MBA from the University of Chicago. Prior to business school, Torry worked as an IT manager at a small food manufacturing company. He attended Brigham Young University where he received his bachelor's degree in business management. Outside of work, Torry keeps busy with his 3 kids and enjoys playing sports that involve throwing plastic discs like ultimate Frisbee and disc golf.

Atin Kulkarni delivers data-driven insights into key aspects of match.com business. Keyur Patel is a Software Quality Engineer at Intel’s Corporate Quality Network. Ken Patton calls himself a Data Visualization Architect and leads a Data Architecture and Visualization team at Cisco, after many years of working as an Escalation Engineer in Technical Services, which includes Corporate Quality. With a widely varied background that includes programming, systems architecture, data analytics, and just plain old problem-solving, he wears many hats on any given day. He favors solutions that are "high speed / low drag," so naturally Tableau became his strategic weapon of choice. Joe Runyan has been with Intermountain Healthcare for 4 years as a part of the Enterprise Data Warehouse Team. Gary has worked for Unilever for 13 years, initially in England and then in Connecticut for the last 11. He has gone from working on e-mail and directory systems to having a heavy focus on information all the way through to the front-end tools. Currently, he is responsible for the end-to-end architecture of these. Gary was originally a Chemistry major who made the switch to IT, so he has the advantage of bringing scientific knowledge - which is one of the reasons why he enjoys Tableau's visualizations.

Dr. Tammy Wingo obtained her PhD from the Vanderbilt University Medical School's Department of Pharmacology in 2004, and her M.B.A. from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management in 2005. She spent two years in biomedical research publishing in Nature Structural & Molecular Biology, and P.N.A.S. before transitioning from research to working as a consultant for approximately two years. She then joined the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt as a Manager and quickly advanced to Director of Business Analytics where she has been for six years. She currently works in the areas of strategic planning, process improvement, intelligence delivery, and financial analysis while supporting her business analytics role.

James Baker is a Senior Software Engineer in his fifth year with Tableau. Having worked on various pieces of Tableau Server since version 1.0, James is currently enjoying the challenges of web application work on the mobile and web visualization clients. You will frequently find James on the Tableau Forums, where he tries to be generally helpful but also enjoys discussing ways to enhance the usability and simplicity of Tableau. Andrew Beers is the Vice President of Product Development for Tableau Software and is currently responsible for the development of Tableau’s product line. Andrew joined Tableau in October 2004 and brought with him seven years of hands-on and leadership experience in software engineering. He applied this experience at Tableau initially by developing major components of the Tableau Desktop product, then leading the creation and delivery of the Tableau Server product. Prior to coming to Tableau, he held leadership positions in the engineering groups at Align Technology, a medical device company in Silicon Valley, CA. Thierry D’Hers is Senior Director of Program Management for Tableau’s engineering team. His group oversees requirement gathering, features definition and functional design as well as evangelization of the product. Prior to this position, Thierry has occupied various roles at Hyperion then more recently in the SQL Server Reporting Services team, Analysis Services team and the Microsoft Performance Point Server team. Thierry has been in the BI software industry for over 18 years and has been led many products incubations at Microsoft (Microsoft Performance Point, Microsoft PowerPivot and PowerView) and Hyperion Solution (Hyperion Business Rule) before he joined Tableau Software. When he is not building teams and designing BI products, Thierry enjoys skiing, mountain climbing, and playing classic guitar.

Irwin Dolobowsky is a Program Manager at Tableau and is very excited to be attending his first Tableau Custom Conference! Irwin joined Tableau in April 2012 to focus on building up Tableau Server as a world-class enterprise-ready product, focusing on deployment, security, scalability, and availability. Pat Hanrahan is Tableau Software's Chief Scientist. He is also the CANON Professor of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, where he teaches computer graphics. His current research involves visualization, image synthesis, and graphics systems and architectures. Before joining Stanford he was a faculty member at Princeton. Pat has also worked at Pixar where he developed volume rendering software and was the chief architect of the RenderMan Interface - a protocol that allows modeling programs to describe scenes to high quality rendering programs. Pat has received two Academy Awards for Science and Technology, the Spirit of America Creativity Award, the SIGGRAPH Computer Graphics Achievement Award, the SIGGRAPH Stephen A. Coons Award, and the IEEE Visualization Career Award. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

As an end user of BI tools in the Insurance industry, to the launch teams of several successful BI products, she has been a thought leader, speaker and promoter of analytics and dashboards for revenue insight for more than 25 years. She has been a senior sales leader for SPSS, Cognos, IBM as well as a channels executive for Hyperion, Applix and Aspect Communications. She now heads the Analyst Relations function at Tableau Software.

Jock Mackinlay is Tableau Software's Senior Director of Visual Analysis. At Stanford University he pioneered the automatic design of graphical presentations of relational information. He joined Xerox PARC in 1986,where he collaborated with the User Interface Research Group to develop many novel applications of computer graphics for information access,coining the term "Information Visualization." Much of the fruits of this research can be seen in his book, "Readings in Information Visualization: Using Vision to Think." Jock has a Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University.

Starting at Tableau in 2009 as a Product Consultant, Molly served as a technical resource for the sales team providing support and training for internal and external audiences. Robert Morton joined Tableau in the spring of 2008 and quickly discovered his inner data nerd. Robert has developed data connectors ranging from Teradata to Hadoop, and has worked on data blending, query compilation and ODBC connectivity. When not thinking about data, Robert develops technologies for licensing and OEMs. Prior to Tableau Robert worked on the Intel Atom microprocessor performance team. Isaac is currently working in the newly formed development team Informatics; which is tasked with understanding, gathering, organizing, and visualizing Tableau's internal data needs and resources as well as advocating internal Tableau usage, training and mentoring. Coming from a background where he has studied art and design at Northern Arizona University, Physics and Mathematics at Seattle University, and Spanish at Universidad Iberoamericana de Puebla (Mexico) it was not until working at Tableau where he really started to understand how all of his deep personal passions have always been different aspects of Data Visualization.

Steve Pellegrin is the Development Manager for Tableau Desktop. He joined the team in 2008 and has guided its growth from three to twenty-four people. In addition to leading the team, Steve has contributed to a number of product features including: parameters, custom tooltips and labels, mark transparency, and relative date filters. Prior to joining Tableau, Steve has held managerial and technical leadership positions at Adobe Systems, Intel, Floating Point Systems, Digital Equipment Corporation, and many others. In his spare time, Steve likes to bicycle and play the piano, but not concurrently.

Ross joined Tableau Software as a Data Analyst in 2009. His role is to tell the world about the wonders of interactive visualization and typically spens his days hunting for interesting data and visualizing it with Tableau Public. As part of the vanguard of "vizzers" (visualizers) attempting to make sense of the world’s data, Ross has a special insight into the problem of the modern data deluge. Previously, Ross has spoken on topics related to big data, visualization and visual best practices at SXSW, Techweek, O’Reilly Strata and the Tableau Customer Conference.

Wilson joined Tableau in 2009, and now he works on providing guidance and advisory work for customers as a Senior Business Consultant. Working with customers directly, his role involves helping customers understand the full potential of Tableau within their organizations and to improve adoption of the tool with clients by means of onsite training, troubleshooting, and performance tuning across the nation. This role involves him directly in the day to day challenges of software adoption, and he enjoys developing best practices around different specific Tableau deployments. Prior to Tableau, Wilson spent time as a financial analyst doing FP&A work at Washington Mutual and is a graduate of University of Washington’s Foster Business school with a focus in Accounting/Finance.

After being a Tableau customer for 3 years, Evan recently jumped at the opportunity to join the Tableau team. Evan is primarily responsible for the stewardship of sales force time, efficiency, and effectiveness. He leads the development, implementation, and performance measurement of globally standardized and scalable sales processes at Tableau. Prior to joining Tableau, Evan held sales operations leadership roles within the semiconductor manufacturing, telecommunications manufacturing and software industries at AMD, Spansion, Dell, and JDSU.

Justin Rockwood is a Development Team Lead at Tableau, where he works on the web front end and mobile applications for Tableau Server. Justin joined Tableau in January 2010 and contributed to various parts of Tableau Server, including speed improvements to the web client, making the web client enhanced for mobile browsers, and some of the coolest features that you'll see at this year's conference. Prior to joining Tableau, Justin worked at Microsoft for 6 ½ years on Excel Services and the web version of Excel (Office 365). Justin holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Masters Degree in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Marc Rueter is Tableau Software’s Director of Technology, Consulting and Strategy. He has spent over 6 years contributing to Tableau’s growth by helping to create compelling solutions for customers. Ivo Salmre is the program manager for Tableau’s server products, participating with a merry band of developers in building what will be Tableau’s next generation of server analytics products. Prior to coming to Tableau worked for 14 years at Microsoft in areas spanning developer tools, server and embedded technologies, working both in applied research and product development. Following his time at Microsoft he spent 3 years running his own software consultancy developing on software for energy management and consumer health. These days you can find him burning the midnight oil looking for ways to make Tableau Server both simpler to use and more versatile.

Prior to joining Tableau, Charles Schaefer was a simple data worker using Tableau's mapping capabilities to wow his coworkers. Today, he's a veteran expert on Tableau Desktop and Server, using his powers for good as a Sales Consultant for some of the nation's largest companies. Charles recently moved to New York, where he does Table Calculations by day and samples Italian food by night. He's still a Seattle Mariners fan, though, and will never convert to a Yankee supporter.

He is experienced in operational strategy consulting with strengths in improving performance and efficiency across the supply chain. Paul Sochan is Director of Training at Tableau Software. Paul has a long held passion for both education and working with data. He has spent 17 years working in the BI space, initially launching customer training programs for Crystal as well as internal education programs at Business Objects. In addition to roles in education, Paul has held roles in Product Management, Sales Consulting, Implementation, Support and ran an internal BI team – all within the Business Intelligence space. Scott Tennican is Tableau Software's Senior Statistical Software Engineer. His responsibilities include design and implementation of the recent enhancements to Tableau statistical methods as well as planning the future statistical direction of Tableau. Before returning to graduate school, Scott developed network software resulting in several patents as lead of core development at F5 Networks. After graduate school, Scott developed statistical models for electric grid attached devices at Gridpoint until joining Tableau. Scott holds an M.A in Economics, a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Washington.

Ted J. Wasserman is part of the Product Management team at Tableau Software and leads Tableau's data strategy and execution. This includes product planning, setting the strategic vision, and leading the execution of new features and integration with technology vendors. Prior to joining Tableau, Ted worked at IBM for seven years in the Information Management division in a number of different roles including technical consulting, channel marketing, and business development. Brad is a sales consultant with Tableau Software. Brad joined Tableau from SAP where he was a Director of Presales responsible for the business intelligence products for the OEM Channel. Prior to SAP, Brad was at Cerner Corporation for 14 years serving in a number of capacities in product engineering including the creation and delivery of Business Intelligence solutions for Cerner. Brad has led teams to build business intelligence tools and strategies to OEM them. Brad found at Tableau something he has longed for his entire career, the promised value of business intelligence finally being delivered! Richard has been writing software for 35 years. At Tableau since 2004, Richard has contributed to multiple features including the Data Server, the Tableau Data Engine, extracts, geocoding and the database connectivity architecture. Prior to Tableau, Richard spent 3 years at Bright Star Technology developing a state-of-the-art speech synthesis engine before moving on to run his own contract software house and then lead the cross-platform client team at Trusted Media Networks. Richard holds a Sc.B. from Dartmouth University and a Sc.M. from Brown University in the field of Mathematics and presented an industrial paper on the Tableau Data Engine at SIGMOD in 2011.

If a viz falls onto the web and no one sees it, did it happen? Lori likes data visualizations, but she likes them best when they get seen and used. She is happiest vizing away on Tableau Public and helping others become killer analysts. Lori’s visualizations have appeared in the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Guardian Data Blog and Mashable. Lori earned a Ph.D. in Epidemiology at the University of Washington, a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and B.A. in Biology at Northwestern University.
